3 Books in the Mercenary Warfare Series and a Linky

Mercenary Warfare Book 1

Selling Out: A Mercenary Warfare Adventure by [DiPietro, Zen]

My Review:

Selling Out is the first book in Zen DiPietro's new Mercenary Warfare Series. It follows the secret life of Cabot Layne, the well-respected trader on Dragonfire Station. He lives by his own list of salesmen's rules and has to decide if saving a planet fits into that list. Layne is an interesting character as he learns to redefine his values and his purpose in life. He and his relatively new team have a job to do. They have to learn to work together, including setting aside past grievances. It's an adventure of duty, honor, and friendship with a good dose of humor. This book has a satisfactory ending, but once you fall in love with these new characters, you'll be wanting more.

Mercenary Warfare Book 2

Blood Money: A Mercenary Warfare Adventure by [DiPietro, Zen]

My Review:

Blood Money takes our new heroes into the dark underworld of crime. Cabot Layne has been tasked with finding an asset that has gone dark, but he and his team find out more than they bargained for. Duty, honor and friendship with a good dose of humor follow this motley crew with their newest team-member, a female special ops officer, on their second mission. There's plenty of adventure and suspense. The second book also has a satisfactory ending, but you'll probably want to come back for more once this team of colorful characters find their way into your heart.

Mercenary Warfare Book 3

Hell to Pay: A Mercenary Warfare Adventure by [DiPietro, Zen]

My Review:

Hell to Pay is the third book in the Mercenary Warfare Series. Cabot Layne finds himself in hot water between the Planetary Alliance Cooperative and a notorious crime boss. Can Layne get both sides to work together toward a common goal? He's skilled at negotiations and this is his toughest one yet. The problem is that he doesn't need powerful enemies and both sides can make his life miserable if he gets it wrong. Follow Layne along with the brother and sister team of Omar and Nagali as they escort the crime boss, Ditnya Cain, to Jamestown Station. It's a slower-paced story, but there's plenty of healthy banter and some good fun competition.
