Book Description:

How far would you go to help a friend?

A new series by USA Today bestselling author, Sarah K. L. Wilson.

My dragon took off to help someone in need - of course! That's just the kind of person *ahem* dragon that she is. But it's left me in a bit of a spot.

Especially, since she insists that I take Bataar's place in an epically bad display of courage.

I'm no hero, but it looks like I'll be acting like one ... again.

Perfect for dragon lovers everywhere, DRAGON CHAMELEON: SILVER EYES is episode five of DRAGON CHAMELEON. The adventure begins when you one-click today!

Expect a new episode every second Wednesday. Always free in Kindle Unlimited.

Purchase on Amazon

My Review:

While Saboraak and Bataar are off saving the dragons, Tor must stand in Bataar's place against a chanting crowd of people who are seconds away from becoming a mob. He's not only up against a possible mob and their crazy ritual, but he's also up against the two-faced Apeq and something dangerous that is made by magic and human hands. Tor is worried for himself, but he's also worried for Zin and Zyla who are in the crowd watching. No one is safe and the ritual has begun. Will Tor survive it and will he be able to keep the sisters safe?

When you don't know the rules, how do you play the game?

A new series by USA Today bestselling author, Sarah K. L. Wilson.

I never asked to be a hero, but now that I've been marked as one, I can't avoid a series of trials.

At stake?

The lives of all my friends and my beloved dragon, Saboraak.

But I don't know the rules and my usual impulsiveness is not helping. Can I slow down to figure out these puzzles before it is too late?

Perfect for dragon lovers everywhere, DRAGON CHAMELEON: WORLD OF LEGENDS is episode six of DRAGON CHAMELEON. Enjoy the journey when you one-click today!

Expect a new episode every second Wednesday. Always free in Kindle Unlimited.

Pre-Order on Amazon

My Review:

Tor and his friends escape through the Door of Heavens and end up in the World of Legend, a strange place that will test him. If he falters or makes a mistake, he and his friends will suffer. The worst that could happen is death. Tor doesn't believe he's a hero, but he's not going to sit around and watch his friends die. He will pass the tests, because his friends are depending on him. But even Bataar, the more noble and properly prepared one, is not faring so well. And then, an enemy enters and things start falling apart! Will Tor figure out the clues and pass the final test in time?

Making Waves and a Linky

These are my last Britannia Bay photos. Check out the waves! I love capturing them in action. These pics are made nicer with two of my girls in them. And, look at all that blue! It's my favorite color. These photos are of Jessica and Amanda with a friend and Ziggy (the miniature Schnauzer). Next week I'll have something else to share.

Night of Blood and Beauty

Night of Blood and Beauty

Night of Blood and Beauty: A Companion Novella to The Order of the Crystal Daggers by [Johnson, C. S.]

About the Book:

Title: Night of Blood and Beauty (A Companion Novella to The Order of the Crystal Daggers) | Author: C.S. Johnson | Pages: 76 | Genre: Historical Fiction

Book Description:

On a mission with high stakes and hidden passion, one man and one woman take a chance on a reckless choice.

Constantinople, 1845

Amir Qureshi knew his life would never be the same the day he met Naděžda Ollerton-Cerná, much to his chagrin. With her sharp wit and brazen charm, Naděžda is as infuriating as she is irresistible, and Amir cannot stop himself from falling in love with her—even though they can never be together.

As an ally to the Order of the Crystal Daggers, under the command of Naděžda’s indominable mother, Amir knows there is no place for love in the life of a spy.

When they are sent to Constantinople to investigate a missing shipment of weapons, Naděžda’s life is endangered, and Amir races to save her, knowing he cannot deny his heart any longer. But Amir is not the only one who is keeping secrets ...

Night of Blood and Beauty is a companion novella to The Order of the Crystal Daggers, a historical spy romance series from C. S. Johnson.

Purchase on Amazon

My Review:

C.S. Johnson writes so well and fluidly! Night of Blood and Beauty will transport you to another place with a mix of cultures and another time - Constantinople 1845. There's spying, lying, kidnapping, and more in this romantic adventure. The characters' thoughts and feelings seem so real. The dialogue is natural. The only thing that didn't seem realistic was Naděžda casually talking while being stitched up.

This is a bittersweet prequel novella and the characters will become better known in the series. If you like historical fiction with rebels, spies, and romance, then you'll enjoy The Order of the Crystal Daggers!

Sisters at the Beach and a Linky

I captured some action shots of the girls playing at the beach when the sun was going down. These photos were taken over the Christmas holiday. My 2 eldest girls (Jessica and Samantha) are presently at university and Amanda is in Grade 5.

Validated by Valentine's

Validated by Valentine's
(A Sweet Little Holiday Romance Book 2)

Validated by Valentine's (A Sweet Little Holiday Romance Book 2) by [Schultz, Joynell]

About the Book:

Title: Validated by Valentine's (A Sweet Little Holiday Romance Book 2) | Author: Joynell Schultz | Pages: 139 | Genre: Holiday Romance

Book Description:

Ivory has the perfect man, from his microchip processor to his flesh-like exterior.

Ivory hated that she loved her Christmas gift this year. Her sister gave her the perfect humanoid companion, but there’s just one problem: he’ll never be able to say he loves her, no matter how much Ivory falls in love with him.

Was her dream man a present or a curse?

But when Ethan (Ivory’s Dream Droid) looks at her with those sweet blue eyes and secretly earns enough money to enter her in the city-wide bake-off, she realizes she doesn’t care. He’s hers. And that’s the best gift of all.

Ivory's perfect world falls apart the closer she gets to the bake-off. It starts with a lost entry and Ethan having a few programming malfunctions, then she discovers someone's deliberately sabotaging her. What started out to be a dream Valentine's day, begins to turn into a nightmare. A large supportive family, a caring artificial companion, and the best cupcake recipe in the world might not be enough to uncover who's setting Ivory up to fail.

Grab your copy of this sweet little holiday romance and help Ivory solve her Valentine's Day cozy mystery today! This story will leave you feeling warm and fuzzy (and baking a batch of cupcakes!)

Purchase on Amazon

My Review:

A Cozy Mystery With All The Feels!

In Book 1, Ivy orders the perfect Dream Droid (Ethan) for companionship, but finds him to be too perfect. When she realizes that she has fallen in love with the man who created the droid, she decides to gift him to her sister Ivory, but only after having a few adjustments made along with wiping a couple of days off his memory drive.

Now, in Book 2, Ivory has Ethan all to herself in her tiny apartment and he's everything she wants in a man. Does it really matter that he's a humanoid and does she care if other people accept him or not? He's very attentive and wants her to be happy, but the adjustments in his program are causing some trouble in their relationship. Will Ivory send him for another tune-up or will she accept him the way he is? Then there's the problem with the bake-off and it looks like someone is sabotaging her work. Will Valentine's Day turn into a bust?

I liked Book 2 better than Book 1. There were more feels and great chemistry. This is a fairly clean romance with a mystery. I received an eARC of this book and this is my honest and voluntary review.
