My Review:

Wolves and Daggers is the first book in this exciting Steampunk Red Riding Hood series. The world building and characters are lots of fun. The action is intense and the story line is engaging. Melanie Karsak successfully blends steampunk with alternative fairy tale in this historical fantasy. I would rate it appropriate for mature teenagers and new adults.

Alphas and Airships is the second book in the exciting Steampunk Red Riding Hood series. Each story stands alone, but follows in chronological order. The books are quick reads full of adventure, interesting world-building, fun characters, and a touch of romance. Agent Clemeny Louvel is a strong female protagonist who was trained by the best, but now she's minus a good eye, her partner has retired, and her division has a new head. Her latest mission involves catching a shape-shifting Viking pirate, who commandeers an airship, and his crew. The problem is, Clemeny gets terrible motion sickness! This series is new adult appropriate. I read the second book in one sitting it was so good!

Peppermint and Pentacles is another fun steampunk fairy tale by Melanie Karsak. This series has a good dose of suspense, action, humor, and a touch of romance. Each story is complete where Little Red faces a new challenge every time, but they're also chronological, so it's better to read them in that order. Another thing I like about this series is that I can read one of these books in an evening. The content is appropriate for older teenagers/new adults.
