Wild Cotton and a Linky

We had a wide selection of wildflowers blooming this spring. Most of them have flowered and are now at the seed spreading or dispersal stage. The wild cotton above is a photo from several weeks ago, and the photos below are of the cotton that we see now. The cotton is super soft.

I am participating in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) and my fantasy story takes place in the Medieval period. I have been learning about the history of cotton, among other things, so it's really neat that we have bushes of it growing in the wild near our house. By the way, our seasons are opposite to those in the Northern Hemisphere.

This November, I'm participating in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). Instead of doing my regular book reviews, I'm sharing my writing journey on the blog and in my new Facebook group, C.A. Morley's Wayfinders. I'd love to have you join me!
