Christmas Day Lunch with Linky

Welcome to my Picture Perfect
Party Linky #225!

Last week I shared photos of our Christmas Eve dinner and mentioned our Christmas Eve tradition. I enjoyed reading the comments about other traditions that some of you shared. Today's post is all about our Christmas Day lunch. My mother-in-law always puts on a fabulous spread of food. Jeremiah helped make the starters, which were Snoek fish cakes. Snoek is a South African fish.

Our daughters each received new coloring books from their grandparents. Samantha's had a double page picture of a Christmas meal, which was very appropriate for the day. One of the books that Jeremiah received was Hillbilly Elegy, which he is reading in the photo below. If you leave me a comment, I'd love to hear what a typical Christmas meal looks like for you. Being an American expat in South Africa, I've had to adapt to hot summer days.
