Adopting an Adult Dog - Part 3

Welcome to my weekend blog hop -
Make My Saturday Sweet #180!

Adopting an older pet can have its advantages. With Koda, we knew a bit about his character through the animal shelter. We also got to meet him and walk him on a leash. When we brought him home for the first time, we were impressed with his manners in the house and his laid-back attitude at feeding time. The only area that has been a challenge for us is keeping him under control around the cats, but I'll share more about that in my next post.

Here are 5 benefits for adopting an older pet.
I've chosen 5 from a list of 10 on the Huffington Post.
1. Older dogs have manners
2. Senior pets are less destructive
3. What you see is what you get
4. You can teach an old dog new tricks
5. Adopted senior pets are grateful for your kindness
