Celebrating at Moksh

Welcome to my Picture Perfect
Party Linky #226!

South African grade 12 learners finish high school at the end of November, but only find out their final results in January. We were so excited for Jessica when we heard a few days ago that she graduated with an A average! She was honored at her high school along with the other A average graduates. Parents were invited to be part of the ceremony. The kids also had their photos in the local newspaper.

We went out as a family to Moksh, an Indian restaurant at our mall, to celebrate. She chose the dishes that we all shared. It was much more fun than everyone ordering their own meals. We had Chicken Korma (chicken cubes with cream and cashew nut sauce with a blend of spices), Chicken Madras (chicken cubes with coconut and tamarind in tomato based gravy), Lamb Rogan Josh (an all-time favorite lamb curry), and Prawn Kadai (prawns with julienne green bell peppers, onions, and tomato, with a hint of yogurt topped with ginger and freshly chopped coriander). Prawns are similar to shrimp. All of these dishes were served with rice. We also ordered plenty of Naan bread. We brought our own wine and paid a small corkage fee.
