Father's Day and a Linky

We celebrated Father's Day last Sunday. Since we're still in lockdown in South Africa, we stayed home and spoiled a well deserving husband and father to our four kids. My hubby is always there for us. He's a rock that we can lean.

I made a fruit salad and crustless quiche for breakfast. For my quiche filling (the one cup of optional ingredients), I added an overflowing cup of cooked bacon and potato with finely chopped fresh green bell pepper.

For lunch (to have with our soup), Samantha baked artisanal bread. It's a no knead recipe and really easy to make! Amanda also got involved and baked chocolate chip cookies. We didn't have walnuts, so she skipped that step and chopped a slab of hazelnut chocolate instead. Check out the links to the recipes. They're really good!

Happy Father's Day and a Linky

Welcome to my weekend blog hop -
Make My Saturday Sweet #226!

Amanda, Samantha, and Robbie

Happy Father's Day this Sunday to all the dads out there! My husband is a big part of our kids' lives and he's always there for them. Today I chose a few photos of our kids with their dad. Our son has a beard in these pictures, but he goes around clean shaven too. I was 21 when I had him and he's turning 21 later this year. Yikes!

My blog is best viewed in Google Chrome

I'm super excited for Sunday! Father's Day is a special event where I get to honor the good fathers in my life. I've been blessed with three dads and my husband who is the father of our four kids. The photos below were all chosen carefully for the important men in my life. All the photos were taken by me.

Please pin any photos that you like to your Pinterest boards and you can follow me on Pinterest too. Also, make sure you visit me on Instagram. Sometimes I capture some neat photos with my mobile phone that I haven't shared on my blogs.

To My Three Dads with Linky

Welcome to my weekend blog hop -
Make My Saturday Sweet #86!

I have three dads who all play an important role in my life and my family's. My first dad is my biological father. He was there from the beginning. He watched me grow up into a young lady and helped me find my way into missions. It was on the mission field where I met my husband. When I got married, I gained a father-in-law. Later, my parents divorced. Both of them eventually remarried. That is how I gained a step-dad.

The letter below is to my three dads:

Dear Dads,

Thank you for being a part of my life. Thank you for all your care and help along the way. Thanks to each of you for being a unique grandfather to the kids. My life is richer, because of you. I wish all three of you a wonderful Father's Day!

I thought this was the perfect Father's Day graphic
in light of the Soccer World Cup in Brasil. Who
watched the colorful opening ceremony on TV?
