Mousebirds and a Linky

I've been doing a series on the birds that come to our property. Mousebirds visit our garden but they can be tricky to photograph unless they're feeding on the ground as in three of these shots. If you want to know more about them, visit Wikipedia's page

The other day we celebrated Jessica's 23rd birthday! She was home that week, doing her studies and tests online. I'm sharing a pic of her roses below. I hope you visit me on Instagram. I've got some neat photos that I'd love for you to see like Prince by candlelight and the recent full moon.

  1. Happy Birthday wishes for Jessica and it's Lovely to see mouse birds. They look so notorious and reminded me of seven sisters that are also feeding in group. Very loud and jumpy.

    Happy #wordlesswednesday.

  2. Oh wow, I have never head of mousebirds before either so I read the wiki page! What fascinating little creatures. Since they live only on your continent I would have never learned of these cuties otherwise, so thank you for sharing and expanding my bird knowledge! I do love to learn new things and I really enjoyed reading how they got their name because they scurry around on the ground foraging for berries just like mice would. Very cool. And a very happy and blessed birthday to Jessica!
