Blue Bindweed and a Linky

These flowers make the prettiest groundcover. I love seeing them in my garden and in other gardens around the neighborhood. They're called Convolvulus sabatius, Convolvulus mauritanicus, blue rock bindweed, or morning glory. You can read more about them on Gardeners' World.

We've been having staggered power outages across the country called loadshedding. Years ago, our power provider, Eskom, was warned to update their power plants, predicting the problems we've been having these last few years. Today we had two power outages, usually lasting 2 and a half hours. It doesn't happen all the time but it happens enough to be disruptive. I feel sorry for business owners.

  2. I love the color of these delicate flowers.
    You have a beautiful garden!
    Happy WW!

  3. We too have morning glory here. Apt name for the beautiful flower.

  4. Power outages really reiterate how dependent we are on modern technology.

  5. Groundcover rarely comes more beautiful than that. Beautiful pictures.

    My snapshots!

  6. Those flowers really are beautiful! And what a disaster about your power outages. I can imagine that would be very annoying. I hope they work out the issues soon somehow!
