Make My Saturday Sweet - Blog Hop #16

I hope everyone who was celebrating American Thanksgiving had a fabulous time with friends and family over a scrumptious meal. We still managed to create a feast too even though Thursday wasn't a holiday here and it's also the beginning of summer. Hubby and I put in several hours in the kitchen to pull it off. Later he said that he had to play the role of three aunts and one Oma (grandma). Hahaha!

I'll share eye-catching photos and links to the wonderful recipes in my next post.

Co-Hosting the Empowered Living Blog Hop

Hi ladies! I'm excited to be co-hosting Jesse's Empowered Living Tuesday Blog Hop! Everything you need to know about the hop is below the "empowered living" logo.

You might be surprised, but Jesse showed me how to schedule a post with Blogger. I've been blogging on Amanda's Books and More since February of this year and I never knew how to do this basic step. Since I live in a different time zone to her, it was important for me to learn. This post will publish itself on Tues. at 1 am (my time) while I'm in bed sleeping and she will publish her's simultaneously on Mon. at 6 pm (her time). That's so cool! The only thing I can't do is enter my info. in the linky until it's been published, but I think Jesse is taking care of that.

Jesse (short for Jesseny) is from Ontario, Canada. By day, she's a high performance trainer and marketing associate for a couple of companies. By night, she's a wife, Momma and online marketing freelancer. Visit her About Momma page to learn how she went from being broken personally to the empowered woman that she is today.

Inspirational Quotes for Thanksgiving

In light of Thanksgiving, today's theme is on what I'm thankful to God for. My last three photos have thankful quotes, which you might like to pin on Pinterest. You can use my "Pin-it" button on my right sidebar for that purpose. I'm thankful for my husband, Robbie, and my children,

Jeremiah (he's nearly 16 yrs. old), Jessica (14 yrs.),

Samantha (12 yrs.) and Amanda (4 yrs.).

I'm Tina, by the way. Robbie is South African

and I am American. Our children are both.

I'm thankful for my beautiful garden and

Samantha's adorable kitten, Prince.
(She's sleeping on my lap as I'm typing this.)

I'm thankful for our swimming pool that our family and friends get to enjoy

now that it's summertime in the southern hemisphere. I'm also thankful for

our dog, Benny. This is how he looked before he had his summer haircut.

I'm thankful for the wonderful grandparents and awesome godparents

that our children have. All these American, German and Swiss goodies

were sent by my Oma (my grandmother) and my mom from the States

for Christmas. I'm also thankful for friends.

Make My Saturday Sweet - Blog Hop #15

In keeping with the idea of making new friends and strengthening the ones that we already have in this blogging world, I'm posting these photos of Amanda with her special friend, Sarai.

I took these pictures yesterday. Have you seen me with my little camera? Hubby took a photo of me in action, which I posted on 1camera1mom.

In this photo to the right, the girls are posing in the light of the setting sun. I didn't post these pictures in order. I chose this one first, because it was the best of the three.
