Sing-Along Christmas Carols and #Linky

Welcome to my weekend blog hop -
Make My Saturday Sweet #110!

My blog is best viewed in Google Chrome

In case you missed it, here is Amanda's latest Christmas book, Sing-Along Christmas Carols with CD (published by Hinkler Books Pty Ltd). She really enjoys it and has been listening to the CD every night. It's perfect for the Christmas season with plenty of carols that you can sing-along to on the CD with the cheerfully illustrated lyrics, as well as a few short stories. Today I learned the second stanza to "Jingle Bells" and I'm seeing words that I never learned properly in other carols too.

Disclosure: I did not receive anything for this review. We purchased this book and the review is my honest opinion. I'm sharing about it, because I can't keep a good thing to myself. ☺

Learning the correct words to Christmas songs - haha! It's funny what you can think words are, especially when you're a kid sometimes. There's the typical jokes about them, but I remember wondering in Jingle Bells why they would be "making spirit Sprite." Sprite was my favorite "coke" (southern term for cola, soft drink, soda) so that might be why I thought that.

Come to think of it, that sounds like alcoholic Sprite! Never occurred to me as a kid. :) And we're tea-totalers so that's probably why it didn't occur to me until just now as I typed it out. Funny how writing things down can make things more clear.

What a fun CD for Amanda, I used to play all the songs of Christmas on the piano, y.e.a.r.s ago. hehe. We always find a cd or station so we can listen. Do you ever have carolers in Australia? Please join me at my Link Party.
Enjoy your day!!

Hi Karren! Last Christmas I brought CD's to my in-law's house to help add some Christmas cheer, but I had to ask them several times if we could play them. :( That's cool that you used to play the songs on piano. In the States, we used to gather around my grandparent's piano and sing together with aunts and uncles and cousins. They probably still do :) There are no carolers here in South Africa. I'm not sure about Australia. ;) I saw the Christmas wreaths that you featured and they are pretty neat. Thanks for hosting great blog hops on your blog!
