Rainbow Sky and a Linky

Bright Fruit and a Linky


Our neighbor gave us a bag of great big pomegranates a few weeks ago. The beautiful fruit inside is called arils and they look like bright red rubies. They are messy to work with but the arils freeze well. I often make a late afternoon smoothie for my husband and daughter and frozen fruit is great for that. I usually have fresh or frozen bananas on hand and I usually add one or two bananas to all my smoothies. Do you like smoothies? If so, what kind do you like?

The Super Flower Blood Moon and a Linky

 


I captured these images of the super flower blood moon last night with my Canon PowerShot. These photos are straight from my camera without any special edits or filters. The only thing I did was resize them smaller. Did you see the moon where you live? There was also an eclipse but I missed it.

An Epic Sunset and a Linky


The other evening, my husband and I were out in the veld walking our two dogs when we witnessed this epic sunset. I'm sharing the photos straight from my camera. I haven't edited them in any way, other than to resize them smaller so they won't take forever to load.

Wishing all the moms and women who care for people a Happy Mother's Day! I can't believe it's this Sunday already. I'll only have one of my four children (Amanda) at home and, of course, Hubby.

Dogs and Daughters and a Linky


Last week I mentioned that our eldest daughter was home for Easter. These photos were taken on Easter Sunday. The four of us went to the park with our two dogs. We love our dogs. Both were adopted as adult dogs from different local shelters. Koda, the German Shepherd, has been with us the longest, and the other one is Biscuit.

It was a lovely day, as you can see! We're also heading into winter, so I have a yellow autumn leaf in the last pic. We don't really get to see many changes in colors in the trees.

Easter and the Pink Moon with Linky


Sunday was Easter and we had Amanda's big sister, Jessica, at home with us for three days. We had a gorgeous full moon that night. It was also the Pink Moon or the Paschal Moon. I took photos from my balcony. No filters were added.
