Finish the Sentence Friday
"If I could go back in time..."

... I wouldn't. Why would I want to play God and perhaps mess things up or change outcomes that could possibly become worse?

That doesn't mean that I don't like fiction and stories that include time-travel. I enjoy good fiction and time-travel has definitely inspired some great stories.

Here's a quote from the Bible that helps me keep on keeping on, without trying to change the past:

"...Suffering produces endurance, endurance produces character, character produces hope, and hope does not disappoint us, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us" (Romans 5:3-5).

Anything Goes

Check out my latest book review on Dragon's Curse, by H. L. Burke. It's fantasy writing at it's best. I enjoyed the book so much that I finished it in one day!

Thanks, Ruth! I just visited your post. I don't crochet and so I can't answer your questions, but I can see it brings you a lot of joy. Have a wonderful weekend!
I hear you totally about time travel and would be afraid of the outcome to be quite honest and also agree happy with the here and now pretty much, too. Thanks for linking up with us this week and also joining yours. Have a great weekend :)

Thanks, Janine, for linking! I can't wait to read yours, but this morning (Friday morning) we will be out of the house and I will have to catch up on your post and comment later. I did link, though. Enjoy your weekend!
Awesome - I, too, said that I wouldn't go back and change anything in the end. It's all of our experiences that bring us to where we are today. The good and not so good.

Yep! I just read your post and it's exactly the same way I feel. We wouldn't be the people we are today if it wasn't for all the experiences (good and bad) that we've had. The cartoons were entertaining. Enjoy your week!
We pretty much all presupposed this question meant doing something, but really, all it said was "If I could go back in time ..." Maybe we just went back to witness something, without actually making any changes ...
Hi Tina, thanks once again for hosting! I hope you have a relaxing weekend!

If I could go back, I would have called my mom every single day for the last year of her life instead of a couple of times a week. But she knew I adored her. I told her frequently. Whenever we talked. Since I still have my dad, who's 89, I realize he won't be here forever. So guess what? I talk to him almost every day. I learned my lesson. :)

And I'm sure he loves hearing from you! May you have a blessed week ahead!
Oh, Marie! That is so sad. I'm sorry that you have suffered such loss. :( Sending a prayer your way for God's blessings upon your life.
I agree. I think I would mess things up even more if I attempted traveling to the past to make things better. I was even saying that I think my past self would give better advice than my present self. That's why if I could travel through time and come back to now, I'd be checking out Beethoven's 9th Symphony's First Performance. Hopefully I wouldn't mess up history there.
