Sisters Studying in the Sun and a Linky

Since we live in South Africa, below the Equator, our seasons are opposite to the Northern Hemisphere. This past weekend we hit 40°C (104°F) two days in a row, which is unexpectedly early to get such hot days. Our girls decided to sit by the pool on Saturday morning before it got too hot to study for their final exams. Jessica is in her second year at university and Samantha is in her final year at high school. Typically, the school year ends early December and the new school year begins mid-January.

That looks lovely!! We have some sun heading our way too!
LOVE these pics, as usual :) REALLY love the look of that pool, too! I SO miss swimming. Is that your pool on your property? It's just beautiful :)

My husband is pedantic at keeping the pool in tip top shape even during the winter when no one is swimming. Last night he was out in the wind fishing leaves out of the pool. We get a lot of windy days, but we also see lots of rainbows. We're very lucky to have the pool and the kids' friends also make use of it when they visit.
Thanks for all of your encouraging words!
We had a pool here for about 30 years so I'm very familiar with the work it takes, only ours was mostly above the ground. At a certain point my mother insisted it had to come down :( It was great while we had it though. It makes your backyard feel like a resort :) I really miss it only I wouldn't be ble to go in much due to the chlorine and my health issues :-/ Oh, well! Anyway, yours is SO beautiful :) I'm glad you have it to enjoy!
Sorry about your health issues! Maybe you can own a salt water pool someday, if that won't bother your skin. The other option is an eco pool. But I know that having a pool is not cheap! Wishing you a fun and safe Halloween!
What fun to be at the beach, I know your seasons are the opposite of mine.
Thank you for hosting, Happy Halloween!

Thanks! And, yes, that's right! The series I'm doing on 1camera1mom, though, is from our visit to the States during June-July. We were in Florida for those photos. We were there for the 4th of July, but sadly, St. Pete's fireworks where cancelled due to weather.
Have a great week!
