Our Christmas Eve and a Linky

We had a fabulous two weeks at my in-laws' house on South Africa's West Coast. It's summertime in our part of the world. Dinner was a traditional South African braai (BBQ) with lamb chops and boerewors (farmer's sausage) and two of our daughters built a sandman in place of a snowman on the beach before it got too dark. One tradition that I carry on from my childhood is opening one Christmas present on Christmas Eve. Our kids decided that we would all open presents from them only. It was a very special evening, because we could focus on one present at a time and give more attention to the gift givers. What special tradition do you include at Christmas time?
