Can you believe it's already the weekend again? So, what have you been doing this past week? Our big news of the week is that my son has been accepted to Rhodes University in Grahamstown, South Africa. He'll begin his first year of studies in February. And, his little sister, Amanda, will begin grade 1 this coming week!

Please link your family friendly posts below and leave a comment with a link. I'm always interested to see what other bloggers are doing and enjoy having a "chat" via comments. Remember to visit the blogger who linked up before you. Enjoy your weekend and I hope it's super sweet!

Hi Mary! Our house is still on the market and life goes on in South Africa. Hopefully 2015 will be a good year for our family, even if I am missing family in the States. I love your Photo Tip Friday and gave it a +1. What an awesome opportunity for you and great job!

Wow! Those are both fantastic milestones! Here's to great beginnings.

And I had no idea your school year is 6 months off the US. Your new school year starts with the "new year." Imagine that!

Thanks, Erin! It's easier having a school year coincide with a calendar year. Somehow it feels more complete. Interestingly, in the States the year ends and then it's summer break and the same here too, because our summer is over Christmas. ;) You must be proud to have your book in your daughters' list of best books for grade 4 girls. :) Have a great weekend!

Christmas over summer break - wow! That's just hard to wrap my head around.

Yes, it was nice to put my book on that list. I was reluctant to do it, but my girls insisted! And since I'm trying to teach one of them who's a perfectionist to really believe it when we give her compliments, I had to set a good example. :)
