Pray for Rain and a #LinkyParty

Welcome to my weekend blog hop -
Make My Saturday Sweet #166!

Today I'm sharing photos of my garden during drought. I'm very happy to see my Agapanthus and Plumbago flowers blooming. The fountain has been switched off and the grass and some flowering plants are dying. We have been on water restrictions for more than a month, but we are better off than other parts of South Africa.

Please pray for rain! South Africa is experiencing its worst drought in 20 years. Our dams are dangerously low. Please pray that our land will be refreshed with good rain. Thank you!

California had been experiencing a long drought. We had one here one summer where it was over 100 for almost a month straight with no rain...at the apex of already being in drought. It's no fun. Praying that the winds will shift and change and bring rain.

Have a great weekend Tina!

Thank you, Alyssa! I just read your adoption update. Moving is never easy. I'm glad you have your mom close by and other services. I'll pray through the prayer requests. I can understand how the different people are involved and will be affected. Adoption has always been close to my heart. God bless!

A drought really can take its toll. We've had water restrictions here too and it's never easy, esp. on the gardens/lawns. I'm hoping you get rain soon!

I'm from California and we've been experiencing a major drought for the past 3 years (we'd get some rain, but not nearly enough to fill the reservoirs or support the state). However, and praise God, this rainy season has been wonderful! In my area we are experiencing one of many storms and the ground is supersaturated! Praying that these clouds make their way to South Africa and waters the parched land there! By the way, I love Agapanthas and Plumbago! They are abundant in gardens here. I knew that Agapanthas were native to Africa, but are Plumbago also?

Have a happy Saturday! May the rain come soon!

Blessings, Joan

Thanks, Joan! It seems that Plumbago can be found in tropical regions including Africa. I looked it up on Wikipedia. Wishing you a blessed week ahead!
