Birthday at the Beach and a Linky

We celebrated my father-in-law's 70th birthday last weekend at their beach house in Britannia Bay. The people in the photos are of my in-laws, his sister and mother, as well as us and our 4 kids. The Miniature Schnauzer belongs to my in-laws and his name is Ziggy. We all enjoyed a leisurely lunch that was brought to the house by caterers. The weather was perfect. It's springtime in South Africa.

Your food photos as always are beyond tempting. Please let me know what the sandwiches, soup and cake are if you get a chance. Yum. Hi Ziggy!

The food was traditional South African fare and was catered. There were lots of mussels in the seafood soup, which was sweet and spicy. The cake was actually a pot bread that we had with the soup. The little hamburger buns were made by deep frying and they were served like sliders.

I wish I could have shared some with you! Thanks for all your encouragement and Twitter sharing! ❤️
I did try the link, but it didn’t work. Perhaps I need to use the laptop instead of my tablet. I’ll try to remember and check tomorrow.
Have a great weekend!
