Wild Flowers and a Linky

It's Spring in South Africa! I took these photos of the wild flowers this morning. There's such a wide variety. It's always neat to discover one that I haven't seen before and, on this particular walk, there were several!

We have the sweetest dogs! Both of them were adopted from shelters. Biscuit is our newest addition and she's the one in the photo above with Hubby. We're not sure what combination of breeds she is, but we suspect that she's part Border Collie, even though her coloring is something else. Koda is a our German Shepherd mix.

You do have the sweetest dogs (after Little Rat of course). As much as I love Fall, I love Spring most of all. I envy you. I love the flowers, lots of yellow and purple around here now along with brown leaves.

Thank you! I miss the vibrant Fall colors that I used to see in the States, especially in Virginia. Thanks for linking. Have a great week!
Love your dogs....Biscuit's colouring suggests maybe some Labrador genes too :) loved the flowers...all the years I lived in RSA, I never went to see the wild flowers in the Cape...such a regret! So lovely to see you link up at CountryScapes at my blog, Cath@Home.

Thanks, Cath! Your Labrador guess is a good one as we also thought so. It would make sense since two very popular breeds in South Africa are Border Collies and Labradors. That's neat that you lived here! Did you mention that before and maybe I just forgot? Blessings, Tina
Wild flowers are always fascinating. Your dogs seem to enjoy the walk.

Thanks, Patrick! I enjoyed your flower photos! I wish I knew the names of them, so that I could tell you which ones are my favorite. I'm not very good at knowing my flowers. I know roses, orchids, irises, tulips... You get the idea! Have a great week! :)
Such amazing flower photos, the flowers are beautiful! You can actually download an app that will identify flowers and plants if you are interested.
Hope you have a lovely week!

Oh yes, I have heard of that app! I should get it for some of the garden plants I see, but I bet it wouldn’t know a lot of our wildflowers, since we have 9,000 in the Cape area. South Africa's Cape floral kingdom is the richest area in the world for plant biodiversity. 😉
Thanks for visiting and leaving a sweet comment! Have a great day!
Beautiful photos! Your dogs are just adorable, too. Happy Spring! We are just entering Fall in the U.S.
