Make My Saturday Sweet - Blog Hop #24

Everyone at our home is sad. Tabitha, the kitten, has been missing since Tuesday 22 Jan. 2013. Every morning and evening we've gone on walks looking for her and calling her name. I also phoned the SPCA on the second day that she didn't come home, but she hasn't been picked up or brought in.

Today we put up posters with her picture and our contact info. at the SPCA, the vets, pet shops, and the main grocery stores with community boards. We also placed some flyers in mailboxes. We want to do more tomorrow, but we're tired and sad. So sad.

Amanda said that it feels like we're not a family anymore! She misses her friend. The kitten spent lots of time with Amanda, even visiting her at almost every bath time. It was really cute. Life without Tabitha is just not the same!

We've been praying too. We'd appreciate any prayers from our online community.

By the way, it's summer here in South Africa, so she's not freezing. In case some of you were wondering.

Thank you for the link-up again this week. I am saying some prayers that Tabitha (love that name and makes me think of Bewitched) will be found and felt terrible how badly Amanda is taking this. Hope to hear you have found her real soon!!

Any neighbours suddenly find their kitty's food disappearing faster than before? That's the trouble with cats - curiosity knows no bounds! You're all in my prayers - especially Amanda!

Aw, I hope your kitty comes back soon. You might want to try the rescue again in a day or two...sometimes people keep lost pets a couple of days, trying to find the owner, before they turn them in. Good luck.

I am so so sorry to hear about your kitten. I know this sounds crazy but we have found lost kittens under our free standing fireplace, refrigerator, laundry room and in closets. We even found one that had gotten into our attic and fell down inside of our walls. That was a nightmare. We had to tear out the wall to get the kitten.

I do so hope you find her. I will be back in the morning to grab your button and join in on this wonderful hop. I already do three memes from Friday through Sunday but this sounds fun! I'll see you in the morning and my toes and fingers are crossed on the baby being found! :-)

Hi Jackie! Thanks for all your ideas. Cats and kittens love climbing into funny little spaces. Sadly, our one seems to have walked off the property following some people who were on foot. I'm now following your blog on GFC. That was a cute photo! We've just adopted a new kitten that looks like the one doing Meowkwondo. :) We are still hoping our other one will come back home.

Oh gosh that is soooo sad Christina :( I hope you find her very soon...but just think that if she showed up on someone else's doorstep, she's so cute they would most likely take her in or turn her in.

so sorry! I had lost a kitty recently too and it came back after a week or 2. Maybe yours will too! It's so hard to lose a companion that is part of your daily routine. Prayers your way for sure!

Thank you for your words of encouragement and prayers! We really appreciate it! This morning Amanda said that she can't wait for Tabitha to come back home and meet her new friend. My heart wanted to break. See pictures and read about the latest member of our family here...
