Picture Perfect Party Linky #23

Amanda took swimming lessons before Christmas. She had eight 30-minute lessons over two weeks. When she started, she was scared to get her face wet, even though we have a pool and she loves the water.

The first year of her life, whenever I washed her hair, she would scream and scream until we were finished. I always tried to make bath time fun and would also hold a cloth above her eyes so that the water wouldn't run down, but she would still scream.

Look how much fun she's having in these photos! You'll see in the one picture, her teacher is introducing her to the idea of putting one eye under the water to look at the toy fish through her goggles. Now at home she puts her whole head under water and has begun to swim under water too.

These next few photos are of Samantha's kitten, Tabitha. The first couple of times she climbed this tree, she would cry for help. After a few minutes of meowing, she would get the courage to climb down. Look how cute she is!

When our son was 3-years old, we went to the beach. It was horrible weather - raining all the time. So, we utilized the hotel pool for a bit of recreation which our oldest two really were eager to do, but I was unsure of how much fun it would be for our DS. He inched his way down the steps into the shallow end and when the water got to be waist deep, he would hold onto the hand rail and plunge his face into the water. Every time, he would raise his head he would laugh and laugh, which in turn made us all laugh. It's a fun memory for us all now that he's 18. I'm glad your daughter's fear of gettin her face wet has passed. Great photo op!

Happy Wednesday!
I wish I was a stronger swimmer. The lesson looks like fun and it's such an important skill. My kids can swim much better than I can, although I did save myself once. LOL

Thanks for hosting!

What an adorable kitten, so cute.
I need to take swimming lessons too. She looks timid in the first picture, but then it looks like she is getting used to it. Samantha's cat is gorgeous. The black and white pics are the best.
