A Birthday Party and More with #WW Linky

Jessica turned 16 at the beginning of June, but it was also the beginning of the kids' mid term exams, so she didn't have a party until the exams were over. The kids are now on a three week winter holiday.

Jessica decided to have a sleep-over party with just a few girlfriends. She chose winter as her theme and did all the decorating. Hubby and I added white roses and purple lavender from our garden.

Mary Denman asked me to share a close-up photo of my cut flowers. They featured in a previous post when Prince was sitting next to them on the counter. Since these flowers were browning, I didn't take a close-up. Sorry, Mary!

Thank you! Living in South Africa means that there really isn't anything happening on the 4th. My kids will be with my in-laws at the beach, but it's winter here so it will be too cold to swim, and Hubby and I will be at home. At least we will have time for just the two of us. :) Enjoy your summer!

Do you receive my replies via email? They should be reaching you. I still don't know the name of the orange ones, but they are probably from Australia as someone told my Hubby, and the white ones are probably a hybrid of the protea, because they are definitely proteas, it's just that proteas aren't normally white. Take care!

It's so hard to imagine that it's "winter" somewhere! Of course, the roses show your winters are even less cold then ours. :) I'm sure it was a lovely birthday. How fun, happy winter break, and Happy Fourth of July!
