3 Birthdays and a Weekend #LinkyParty

Make My Saturday Sweet #176!

We celebrated 3 big birthdays this past week. As many of you know, it was Hubby's 50th last Friday and his aunt's 70th, so all the family got together and made it a big weekend family reunion. Then it was Jessica's 18th yesterday. I didn't get a photo of her on her birthday, so I chose a pic from the family reunion in Franschhoek.

Jessica's 18th Birthday Breakfast

Fresh fruit, muffins, meaty finger foods, yogurt (not pictured),
and chocolate cake, which we ate later in the day

We toasted the birthday with
sparkling wine mixed with orange juice -
18 is the age that you can drink in S.A.

Thanks, Michelle! That first photo of the grand-kids was super cute! It looks like a great ad for kids' clothing. I noticed the knee with the Band-Aid. So typical of that age! I'm sure they'll never forget Grammie Camp with you!

Thanks! I loved Sesame Street too! I still remember the clip about the importance of water and teaching what it was called in Spanish, "agua". ;)

Thanks, Audrey! Oh, I didn't find the Caillou cartoons that bad - as long as the kid was little, but it wouldn't be interesting for big brothers or big sisters. ;) Did you notice the first meme's missing an "N" for "Parents Agai_st Caillou"? When I was a teenager, I thought Barney and the kids singing about peanut butter jelly sandwiches was RIDICULOUS and a waste of time! Then I had kids and Barney became a hero. ;)

Yes, but at least I was one of the guests and not hosting any of it! Thanks for visiting, Michele, and I checked out your most recent post. I like the title of your latest book review, "Looking for Lovely." Grace is always a great topic. I read "Healing Grace" when I was a teenager and it made a big impact on my Christian walk.
