My mother-in-law hosted her sister's 70th and her son's (Hubby's) 50th birthday dinner at Bo La Motte Farm in Franschhoek. She is an accomplished cook and trained her staff in her own restaurant some years ago, but for this evening she hired the talented chef, Marlin Clayton from the five-star boutique hotel, Angala. My mother-in-law does part-time managerial work at Angala and knows Marlin well. He kindly taught Amanda how to arrange a cheese platter. You can see their creation in the photos below.
