Picture Perfect Party Linky #14

Today we added a new member to the family. Her name is Tabitha, meaning "one of gentle grace." Samantha chose her and named her. It all started yesterday when, on the spur of the moment, Hubby decided to visit the animal shelter to pick out a kitty with Samantha. I thought they were having a father-daughter chat over McDonalds' milkshakes.

Once they got back, though, they told me not to look surprised, because the lady from the SPCA was arriving right behind them to inspect our home for the new arrival. I was quite surprised, but I pretended that I wasn't, because Samantha had been wanting a kitten since last year and we had told her that if we did get a kitten it would probably be from the shelter.

I took my little camera with me today when we went to pick her up. Some of these kittens and puppies have faces that are just begging to be adopted.

Now that I know what "Tabitha" means, I love the name even more! One of these days I am going to pick up a kitty from the shelter, but that will be after my five dogs pass on.

Adorable pets!
I really want a kitty, but I can't have one right now. So glad your daughter got one though. I hope she loves it dearly.

I love your new kitty - such a cutie! I am surprised they managed to leave with just one kitty and no puppies - some of the other little ones were so cute!

Hi,
New follower from the blog hop please come follow me back :)
What a precious kitty! Thanks for sharing this :) And all those puppies...I wish I could adopt or find homes for all of them. And yes! I knew that Rhodesians are from the South African region. They were bred to be lion hunters. Although I'm not sure our pup would be any good at that! He's a scaredy cat. Lovely photos.
