New Braces and More with #Linky

Welcome to my Picture Perfect
Party Linky #210!

Amanda has been playing netball at school. The game looks similar to basketball, but the rules are a bit different. She's been playing friendly matches against other schools and enjoying it, so we got her a net and measured how high it needed to be for her age. I'm kind of sad that the season is over. It's a winter sport and we are now heading into summer.

Recently I shared photos of our pool getting redone and one of my bloggy friends asked to see a picture of the whole pool, so here it is from end to end. In this picture, Amanda and her daddy are checking the pH, alkalinity and chlorine together.

Amanda has new braces! Her upper teeth need to grow properly, but her lower teeth have been preventing that. When she bites, her lower teeth are in front, so she needs these braces to help move her upper teeth forward.

Samantha wanted to take a shower the other night when she found this large rain spider looking down at her. You can imagine that she got quite a fright. Robbie caught it in a container and released it outside away from the house.

My girls only ever got to play a few games of netball. They liked it as well. That is one big spider.

Thanks for visiting, Rhonda! Was it not a big sport at their school or did they just not have the time? I'm hoping that Amanda will stick with it through her schooling. Take care!

I didn't realise you could get braces for younger children. My nieces had theirs on from grade 8.

The dentist called it a plate, maybe because it's doing a different job, to fix her bite. Thanks for always visiting and commenting! Have a lovely week!

Thanks, Jill! That was a great photo of your cat! I can't imagine owning a feline that pees everywhere. Does he need to be neutered? I'm wondering if that would help. I'm glad he likes the safety of the bathroom. Take care!

Thanks Christina. No he's always been neutered. I don't know. I've had two different vets tell me it's a behavioral problem but nothing we can seem to do about it besides keep him in the bathroom.

I've never heard of net ball. Your pool is amazing! That spider though...I would've had to burn the house down! hahahahaha

It was a couple of days later and I found a rain spider in my kitchen sink. My eldest daughter commented that it wasn't that big. I couldn't believe my ears! In my mind, these spiders have two sizes, big and really big. The one in the shower qualified as really big and the one in the sink as big. LOL At least my hubby handles them for us, but with Tupperware or ice-cream containers. We don't kill them.

Your tribute to Pearl was very moving. I'm so sorry for your loss! Our one dog is now 12 years old and he has already had a tumor removed from his eyelid twice, apparently a sign of his old age.

Wishing you a great week, Mimi!

We are 2 years into the braces journey with our eldest. She also had to have jaw surgery. It meant waiting until she had stopped growing, in the hope that results of surgery would stick. It was an awful process and one side did try to fall back into place but hopefully another year of braces will correct that.

Oh my! Jaw surgery is not a simple fix. I'm glad the braces are helping with the process. I'll send a prayer her way for proper alignment of jaw and teeth. I wish you all good health! Take care!
