Red-Winged Starlings with #Linky

Welcome to my Picture Perfect
Party Linky #208!

Today I watched a starling sitting on my thatched roof. I was wondering if I should grab my camera, when I remembered taking several shots of red-winged starlings last year. The starlings were part of a really fun time that I had with my husband and our two youngest children and I hadn't posted any photos yet. We were at Goudini Spa, which is a natural hot springs not far from our home. So, here are the starlings and my pics of the spa are now on my latest post on 1camera1mom.

We don''t have red winged starlings in New Zealand. Ours are a bit plain but they were introduced for insect control so they are not native.

I wonder if the starlings there are becoming a pest. I think it's risky playing with nature and so many things have gone wrong when humans introduce animals or plants to other parts of the world. I visited your post and I was so engrossed in the architecture of the convent on the outside, that I'd forgotten to wonder about the inside until you gave us a glimpse! Great photos and looks like a great experience. Wishing you a lovely week!
Nice captures of those birds :-)

Have a tweettastic week :-)

Thanks, Hagit! I am not sure what tree it is. I looked up the loquat and the leaves look different, but there were lots of similarities too. I enjoyed reading about your sparrows at the pool! I got some neat shots last Christmas (our summertime) of sparrows swooping around Amanda near her grandparents' beach house. The sparrows were on an insect feeding frenzy. :)
I would love to see the sparrow's pictures. I love birds.
HOpeing you are having a great week! Thanks for hosting!

Hi Tina! Love the shots of the birds. Nothing like that here!

Thanks for dropping by today! Have a great week!
What amazing birds. Make the seagull that's staring at me from outside my window look very dull!

Aren't they pretty! We get the occasional rosella around the garden and they are very colourful.
