Make My Saturday Sweet - Blog Hop #35

Linking with Five Minute Friday

Brave...

I believe that to be brave means that you go out and do what you are wired to do. Brave people are willing to try anything, but they are especially willing to go and do what they are good at. They don't hide the gifts and talents that God gave them. They get excited and have energy that other people not wired like them can't quite understand, even when they are being stretched in their area of gifting.

Brave people know how to say no to things that they aren't supposed to be doing. This means that they lead a balanced life, a healthy life, a quality of life that knows when to say yes and when to say no. They also don't back down or give up when they are put to the test.

God is their strength and their provider. He equips them for the task at hand.

Stop.

My recent post Finish the Sentence Friday Blog Hop #18
I love your take on brave- the idea that it is pursuing your gifts, but also knowing when to say no! Thanks for sharing and happy to be your neighbor at Five Minute Friday!
So much truth in your short post, Tina. Brave is being stretched and using our gifts for God. This involves so much courage. Blessings.
I like what brave means for you. To me it is standing in the face of daily physical pain and telling it that it has no power over me. My Savior will allow me to do all that needs to be done no matter what. He will show me the ways to play with my sons and no amount of fleshly pain can stand in the way of the joy I feel from seeing them laugh and smile.
Thank you for the lovely hop!

Spot on Christina! I fully agree with what you say about the word brave. Thanks for hosting and have a great weekend.
My recent post Question Time
I realised today that it's been over 12 weeks and apart from I think one day I've blogged every day, so I've given myself and my helper a couple of days. I'm already struggling with that, it's rather addictive this blogging. I've linked up a post from the beginning of the week. Have a great weekend. x
My recent post You won't believe this post!
Thank you for the hop! Brave is a good word. For me, brave means stepping into each day and seeking to do what God has given me to do, even when it is difficult, or I don't want to. :) It means specifically seeking to be a godly wife to my husband and mom to our now 4 children...even though our littlest is only here temporarily I will choose to love him as if he is here forever...brave is believing God to be who He says He is and trusting Him to comfort us if/when the time comes for him to go back to his home. Blessings to you! And, thank you again for the party! :)
