Picture Perfect Party Linky #41

The Circus

On Friday I took Amanda to the small-town circus that arrived for the weekend. It was her first circus and she says it was her first time to see live lions and a tiger. I think she's right about that. It's interesting that she knows this and I didn't realize it.

The bigger kids have been to zoos and game drives, but our Cape Town Zoo closed down (it was privately run and they couldn't keep it going). Amanda can't wait to go on the game drive in Animal Kingdom. The big kids say they'd rather go on rides and skip that one. It's kind of funny, because we're in South Africa and Amanda's first game drive will be at Disney World, U.S.A.

We weren't allowed to take any pictures once inside the tent. Check out the McLaren Circus to catch a glimpse of the animals and performers that we saw.

Look at her grow! My older daughter's hair is very similar to Amanda's..I thought she'd always have crazy hair, but it turned out gorgeous :)

Thanks Judy! She's never been to a zoo. We don't have one here in the Western Cape, sadly. There is a big one in Johannesburg, I've heard. That's over 14 hours drive away. She went to her first circus. They had one clown. That's how small-town it was. But the clown was very sweet.

I finally got an all-in-one post pulled together this morning. This has been a hairy week, as I was released from the hospital on Tuesday after 6-days. You said, What's that? Don't beat yourself up, I didn't go public with the whole thingy and then the doctor decided I had to go into the hospital suddenly really threw me off beat. Anywho, I'm taking the easy way out with a walk down memory lane with an old childhood photo. Perhaps, you'll care to hop over when time allows. Thanks for hosting the WW party!
