I blog because…

for years I felt like I was completely out of the loop, living in obscurity, while life was passing me by. I missed having girlfriends who share similar interests and I desperately wanted to do something more with my life.

Blogging made it possible to hone my skills in writing and photography, two talents that were, for the most part, lying dormant. There were also personal stories and experiences that were bursting inside of me, waiting to be told. Blogging has given me the opportunity to have a voice and to put some of those talents to work. I also love networking and making new friends.

I’m a firm believer that if we desire for our children to grow up and be all that they are meant to be, then we must lead the way. My blogs are only the beginning.

I am so with you on wanting to be a good role model for our children and letting them see that they too can be all they want to be and more. Wonderful reason to blog and so couldn't agree more. Beautiful picture and interesting post Christina. Blogging is such a wonderful experience. I started mine after the death of my twin sister and it has been therapeutic. I'm in two minds with blogging, it's provided me with some fantastic opportunities but it's also creating a lot of work for very little return. Working on the balance and thinking I perhaps need a public business website so people think of me in this regard first rather than the blogger.

From what I have observed, I think that would suit you well. You can run your business website with a personal feel. In other words, you don't have to change your style too much. That's what makes Disney popular on FB. I heard that, in the past, they didn't do so well on FB when they left out the personal touch. Wishing you all the best!

It too agree that if we want our kids to know they can be anything they want to be we have to lead the way and explore our own passions. I'm so glad you have found that in blogging. I have too!
